Individual Whole Genome Mapping project at LPM.
At the University of Arizona I worked with a research group that analyzed Neisserial DNA Uptake Sequences (DUS). We used markov models to ascertain the statistical significance of their existence throughout various areas in the neisserial genome. I developed software to accomplish tasks such as orthlog calling, the identification of core genomes, and the classification of gene functional groups.
Before my academic training in computer science, I was very involved with web development and web programming.
