I am currently a sophomore at Walpole High School. Although I have been interested in biology for as long as I can remember, the Honors Biology course that I took in my first year of high school cemented my love for the subject. I love the idea of biology research and was fortunate enough to get true insights into Bioinformatics at the LPM last summer. As a freshman high school intern, I worked on coding algorithms that were used on the Clinical Avatars website to determine ideal dosages of Warfarin for specific patients. This summer, I plan to work at another research lab at Harvard Medical School and further my love and knowledge of biology.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the saxophone in my school jazz band, reading, discussing global issues with friends in my school’s discussion club, and learning new photographic techniques.
